Dear FTC, As an Independent Business Owner (IBO) powered by Quixtar I find the proposed rules change a business nightmare. People want to run a business not be tied down by over-protective rules! The new rule: 1) should create a level playing field by requiring clear, simple, and standardized income disclosures that apply to ALL direct sellers. 2) should provide a reasonable cancellation policy. 3) should NOT require a seven-day waiting (grace) period before a prospect could register and start their business. 4) should NOT require IBO references be provided to prospects or disclosure of PAST litigation. 5) should NOT require financial records to be disclosed to prospects. My business has been a success because I make it a success. As an IBO I now have freedom to build a profitable business in my spare time and on my terms. Please consider the suggestions above. Thank You, George Reuben
