I am deeply disturbed with the requirement that prospects be given a 7 day wait period to decide if they can join the business. This is an assumption that the prospect has no ability to make their own decisions. I believe the prospect has every right to decide if he/she wants to wait or register immediately and it will be an infringement on his/her right by imposing a waiting period before they can register. This is also an infringement on the basic human right of making decisons and doing whatever is within the law to succeed in life. The requirement of a list of litigations is counterproductive in the sense that many people will misinterpret the fact that a company has been sued with the thought that it is an illegal company. Many examples exist out there of food chains such as McDonalds and grocery chains like wal-mart that have been sued by several people but this does not neccessarily make them illegal. If this were the case then all businesses not just direct selling or networking businesses should have that rule that all litigation be posted for all to see. I believe strongly in the human being's ability to make a decision that is important for their family without interference from others unless it is not an adult. I do not think it should be a requirement to let everybody know how much one makes in a home based business because that does not neccessarily mean the prospect will succeed but it just means that they have potential to succeed. Just like one would not join a college because the friend gets high grades in classes at that college, but will join based on their own prefernces and belief that they can succeed. It is not a requirement for colleges to display the grades of all students so that a prospective student can enroll, in the same way it will be an invasion of privacy to expose all the income statements of the home based business owners and people should have a right on whether to use them for credibility or not. Companies that offer to buy the home based business owner back if for any reason they are not happy should be excluded from many of these requirements since they give the prospect a honeymoon period to be involved in the business, re-evaluate their success and then they can decide to continue or not. The idea of providing references is absurd since some of the references may be more interested in swaying the prospect their way so as to register them in their own business. I would rather encourage that the prospect make the choice themselves if they need to meet the people involved in the business and the ideal environment for that is at team meetings or large presentations where they can be introduced to other people involved in the same business. Private information such as telephone numbers and addresses of those involved should not be volunteered to prospects since this will invade the privacy of those involved in the business and their families. Thank you and I pray that you do not enforce such rules as will infringe on many basic rights.
