MLM and other Network Marketing businesses are springing up everywhere. Most are simply money pyramid schemes where all except a few make money. There is a huge amount of hype that tempts people to get involved. What happens is people are brainwashed into thinking that they will become rich if they just do more of what they are already doing...soliciting and pissing off the general public. Some are real good, most are pretty bad at this. What happens is that people lose money buying bogus leads and advertisment that does not work. Thousands and thousands of dollars are spent using credit cards to do this. One credit card after another is maxed out. The rationale is that wealth is just around the corner, but it never is. I feel that Business Opportunities or Income Opportunities should be restricted to the point that people are not easily ensnared by temporary lapse of good judgement. You will get thousands of protests from people in MLM, just as you would if you tried to shut down gambling in Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see what kind of decision you end up making.
