Dear FTC, The proposed so called business opportunity rule is ludicrous. It doesn't sound at all like something that would exist in a free market capitalist democracy. Please do not go through with this new proposal that will hinder and greatly inconvenience the vast majority of the Network Marketing Companies in the Direct Selling Industry (and millions of people that are independent distributor members) that are above board and doing business with integrity. Don't impose all these non-sensical hoops to jump through for everyone, because of the illegal or dis-honest actions of some. Individual people starting a home-based network marketing business should not have to jump through a lot of paperwork, research and red tape. Why make people wait seven days to do something that they can quit anyway at any time they decide they want to? That's an absolutey stupid liberal democrat idea if I ever heard one. We need less government not more. We need less taxes not more. We need less beauracracy not more. People have a responsibility to thoroughly investigate an opportunity on their own and proceed with caution. We don't need any more government intervention than we already have. I'm a Christian. I'm a republican. I'm a tax-paying, loyal, red-blooded American citizen, and I stand adamantly opposed to any policies, regulations or legislation that inhibits the Network Marketing industry which uses the purest form of capitalism that exists - and that's people selling directly to people and earning comissions. This industry uses a level playing field that enables average everyday often un-educated folks the opportunity to earn a six-figure income and build ongoing residual income for years to come. It takes hard work, consistent effort and its NOT get rich overnight. Even Bill Clinton supports the Network Marketing Industry. You don't have any business trying to hinder all the network marketing companies in our nation, because you don't like what some of them are doing. Spend your time and your resources going after the crooks and the scams and leave everyone else alone. Thank you, Jeff Kimber Independent Vemma Distributor Raleigh, NC
