Ladies and Gentlemen: Thank you for being so concerned about the public and the honesty claims. I am concerned about Business Opportunity Rule R511993 and how it will affect the honest dealers in the Multilevel organizations. It looks like a lot of extra paperwork and an involved system of tracking. It would not benefit my Sunrider organization. It could actually be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. We already are well policed by Sunrider, we don’t need more paper work. Thanks. Could you be as concerned about car salesmen? About sales claims made on the TV programs. It is confusing to me that you would choose to limit the activity of an organization that is doing far beyond what is required of them to do to satisfy the needs of the government. There is some validity in the 7 day cooling off period but I have not found it needed in my transactions in Sunrider. My business has been in operation since 1983. I am not a millionaire like some of my friends are. I do enjoy the products that Sunrider produces. I do not use a sales tactic that would give a lot of hype as that is not my style. I prefer to educate and let my people grow into finding out the greatness of Sunrider products. There have been some of my friends that have been “suckered” into putting down $500.00 and told that they would get back double that in goods. They were in a “start-up” company. Guess it fits the old adage, “there is a sucker borne every minute”. Then, the greed motive of putting down thousands with a promise of a return, fine print: when____the impossible happens. So, I can understand your concern. In this day of ID theft, I will in no way disclose 1 let alone 10 people that I have signed up. I respect their privacy more than you apparently do. Again may I say that I appreciate the work of the FTC to protect consumers. I believe this proposed new rule has many unintended consequences and that there are less burdensome alternatives available in achieving its goals. My question is this? Did you have a law school undergraduate draft this legislature? They really have not looked into Sunrider International very closely. I have never found a company that was so honest. Sincerely, CJMiles
