Comments:
I have been in the direct selling business for 6 years after being approached by a good friend of mine. I have enjoyed many benefits from the wonderful opportunity that direct selling has given me. I am a former business owner who worked a hundred hours a week to be able to make the kind of money my family and lifestyle needed. When I found the direct selling business I was somewhat set free from the oppressive lifestyle I had created for myself. I am truly appreciative of the effort being made to protect consumers from unscrupulous businesses, but this also negatively impacts those legitimate direct selling companies. This is a very wide net being cast. I liken this to the Tuna fishing industry, they formerly used large nets and killed many beneficial creatures in the process. The proposed seven day waiting period casts a very negative light on the direct selling business, similar to the waiting period for firearms purchase casts a negative light on that business. I am concerned that the negative impact to our industry will be tremendous. There are bad apples out there but please let’s not kill the tree for a few bad apples. Thank you for your consideration Respectfully Randall Morrow
