FTC, Office of Sec'y, Room H-135 (Annex W 600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington, D.C. 20580 RE: Business Opportunity Rule R511993 To Whom It May Concern: I'm Marlene Robertson and I have been involved as an Independent Distributor for XanGo tm for 1 1/2 years. I'm a retired women who started this home based business to help supplement my Social Security. A friend of mine shared this product with me, and it gave me new life in two ways, by making me feel physical better and most of all for what it has done for my income resources. My own business for only $35.00. This was my chance to help other people start up their own business also. It has shown me confidence and given me skills I was afraid to use before. I need this extra income and I'm working hard at this business. I deserve it. We are very thankful for the FTC's consumer protection, but I have a concern for its impact on legitimatae direct selling companies who are doing things the honorable way such as XanGo tm is. They are crossing every T and dotting every I. This Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 seems to particular rule unfairly targets legitimate direct selling businesses. The 7day waiting period is a very negative for our XanGo tm business. We are sharing a product, we already have a 100% money back 30 day guarantee. If you go out to buy a car, TV, etc.you see it you like it you want it, but you have to wait 7 days to go back and buy it, does that seem right? Plus, it would make our paperwork unbelieveable,we will need to become Superman, let alone trying to get back in contact with them at the end of 7 days. The 7 days makes us look like were hiding something or making them look like we have to check them out.When people see something they want, they want it then. Were talking about a $35.00 dollar sales kit to get started One that can help people get started in their own business, who would never be able to, also, think what our XanGo tm company has done for our economy, people can make some good income from this company, they will have extra money to spend. Please check us out. Concerning the prosped rule part that requires the disclosure of a minimun of 10 prior purchasers nearest to the prospective purchaser. This seems to me to fringe on our privacy benefit. Everyone does not need to know my business on what I purchase and what I don't purchase. Why would any person in his/her right mind feel sharing existing contacts and/or customers with their competition was in their best interest? Would you want your name given out like that? Please insure that any proposed rules will not be detrimental to the incredible volume of sales created by the Direct Selling Industry, a Multi Billion Dollar industry today and growing every day. To do so would hurt the United States economy tremendously. Think about it. Again, I suggest check our company out XanGo tm LLC headquarters in Lehi, Utah and see what kind of passionate and caring company this is. You will be shocked to see a company which has the hearts of the American People in their minds and one that would never place an individual in peril financially. We have worked hard for this, please don't make it so difficult that we have to give it up, this is my dream and they have always said have a dream, well this is mine, help me be able to keep it. I truly believe there are other areas out there that need more attention by the good working FTC staff, then the prosposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993.
