This is getting out of hand. For wonderful companies like PartyLite, this is more than an inconvenience and it inhibits growth! I agree that stopping fraud is important as well, but for us ligitimate companies that allow people to succeed, this is a punishment we haven't earned. For example: Requiring this many references to people who are not yet part of the company is an invasion of privacy, and there are other ways to find out about an organization before you join it. People need to do their homework before they join an organization, but that doesn't mean the responsibility lies on us! I did my homework before I joined my company, didn't you? Please find another way.
