Thank you for this forum and the opportunity to comment as I read the proposed Business Opportunity rule R511993 i can see what the intent is and have some concerns about the proposed rules.First I have been in sales and direct marketing for over 30 years and in that time have had many thing asked of me by companies and clients. That being said I wish to address my concerns with this proposal. I am the first to admit that there are many businesses that use deceptive practices to scam folk out of money and self worth on the other hand there are companies who take the the wellfare of there clients or distrubutor very serious and hold that trust to be a very valuable asset. I have found over my many years that peoples privacy and paramount and the violation of that trust by handing out there information would put any trust buildt in the hands of a potenial criminal. I would not want my information giving out for just that reason. in regards to a seven day waiting period it would cast a negitive light on a whole industry there for holding up and or stoping the flow of commerce. there too many negative things that happen when we restrict commerce. All litigation is public record and people have the freedom to investigate anyone if they fell something is wrong. making it mandatory to share this info slows the business process and cast an unnessasary light on good honest business owners if people want cheat they will find a way. giving referances is a very touchy line to walk with out the permission of every person to allow their info to be public it puts the company in troulbe from law suits that just doesn't affect a few but could hurt many. As I see it my indentity is one thing I should have control over. there too many theives out there and the rule put them at risk. And I believe the risk is too high. I truley understand what you are trying to do and hope this has shed some light on a concerned small business owner. what we need is education and not more rules. thank you for your time
