Please reconsider your proposed wording of the new FTC regulations for legitimate Direct Sales Companies. I have been a consultant with The Pampered Chef for 6 years and have had nothing but ethical treatment by my company to me and all of my consultants I have sponsored. Our company even allows consultants to return their kit should they change their mind after they receive it! The request for 10 references is more than a Corporate Executive would be required to provide and ,as a new sponsor, one would not have that many consultants to call upon. Also, in an age where identity theft is rampant, I would not want my personal info given to any prospective recruit. With so many legitimate ways people can create a better way of life for their familes using Direct Sales, please concentrate your efforts on the "scam artists" who steal people's money, not on the legitimate comapnies who help people like me stay at home with their children and live better lives.
