Dir Sir or Madam: I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993 in it's present form. I have been a distributor for Young Living for many years now. Several items proposed would make it impossible for me to continue with the wonderful company I have come to depend on for extra income. The paperwork alone this regulation would require would be to cumbersome and intrusive for me to be able to keep up with in my busy life. I am a single mom and that little bit extra that I make is enough to make life a little easier for my children and I. I would not want to have to give that up simply because regulation makes it just too difficult and time comsuming due to excess paperwork to comply with this proposed regulation. I also am not comfortable giving out personal information of other distributors without their approval to a stranger with all the identity theft going on. Just getting the list would take so much time an most likely be out of date shortly after I received it that anyone interested in joining the company could very well find it too much trouble to pursue let alone wait the 7 day waiting period. Anyone can walk into a store and buy anything without having to wait 7 days. Most serious direct marketing companies like mine have money back guarantee's anyway if they don't like the product so what do we need a long waiting period for? Most of my neighborhood stores don't even guarantee me that. Release of "any" information regarding lawsuits is just crazy in this age of sue happy people. It does not make sense to disclose these lawsuits unless it might be pending outcome or a company is found guilty! I appreciate the work the FTC does to protect comsumers but I believe this rule needs some serious revision to make it way less burdensome. The American way is being regulated out of existence with too much red tape. There are so many rules and regulations already on the books which only need to be enforced and in this instance I'm sure there has to be some less burdensome alternatives to achieving what you are trying to accomplish. Sincerely, Gail Sofsky
