Seven-Day Waiting Period: A prospective Consultant would not be able to join until a seven-day waiting period has passed from the time the opportunity was offered in a detailed disclosure document. This would materially impact PartyLite Starter Shows and effectively dampen the enthusiasm of a prospective Consultant. It would also lengthen the amount of time before a Consultant could join PartyLite. I believe this is an unnecessary regulation given that PartyLite offers all Consultants the option to return products under our Company Buy Back Agreement (90% of the Consultant's purchase price). In addition, I would also have to keep detailed records on who received what documents on what day if you were to sponsor anyone. Provide References: As a sponsoring Consultant, I would be required to provide all prospective Consultants with contact information (name, phone number, etc.) for the "ten geographically closest" Consultants whom they could contact to get a reference about PartyLite. While I certainly encourage getting testimonials from people, I believe in protecting the privacy of our Leaders and Consultants. I believe it is not appropriate to arbitrarily provide this information without explicit permission. It would also be difficult for us to identify the ten people geographically closest to each sponsoring lead. Passing this would affect my business in a very negative way!!
