After reviewing the proposed business opportunities law changes I am left with only one word APPALLED. The proposed changes are biased, discrimnatory and ridiculous. A 7 day waiting period? I can get a firearm in less time. Which traditional company's do you require to list how many lawsuits? Perhaps you should start with Monsanto or Libby they should have to print their history on every bottle of Lysol or every prescription filled. Perhas the FDA could list how many people have been killed, mutilated or made infertile by their mistakes in approving drugs. Is your goal to eliminate small businesses? Put this same law in a perspective you understand. before buying a ticket for an airplane, you must wait 7 days, you will then be given a list of previous lawsuits, the number of previous purchasers who have canceled within two years and a list of references i.e., purchasers of the opportunity in the previous three years; Included in this list would be how many crashes, how many people got sick, how many hijackings, how many late takeoffs and arrivals. This would shed undue poor light on a company without allowing for ANY explanation of circumstances. I have been in direct sales for over 20 years there are good apples in everything and bad but your blanket law making to protect people from few and far between bad apples will completely hinder and tie the hands of honest and upright business people. If you eliminate the good companies by making it too dificult or too costly to do business you will be left with unscrupulous ones that wouldn't and didn't follow your ridiculous law in the first place. The government would be better served and resources better spent by building the American family so that mothers or fathers can stay home and raise their children to be upright and moral citizens. By finding a way that a family can financially survive not by hindering the very source that does just that. Ashamed once again by my government, Ann Hertzog
