Dear Sir or Madam: I am strongly opposed to Business Opportunity Rule R511993. It could prevent me from continuing as a distributor with MonaVie. I have been an independent Distributorfor 16 months now, and I am very satisfied with my company's legitimacy and integrity. I do not have many options to make additional income, & I have found that MonaVie is the most viable and honest business I have ever worked. This 7 day waiting period will give the public the idea that there's something wrong with me or my company. My company already offers a 3-day right of recission to the consumer. That is the same as buying or refinancing a home, which is more than adequate. The entry cost to my company is only $39 dollars plus the product cost of whatever amount someone chooses, (as little as $32 dollars). That covers the product and membership for me to run my business. People buy TVs, cars, and other items that cost much more than than this meager amount, and they don't have to wait 7 days. The record keeping alone would be insurmountable . I am a single home based business owner and this burden would force me to hire outside help, for which I do not have the financial means. This proposed rule is overwhelming and frightening. Finally, the proposed rule requires the disclosure of a minimum of 10 prior purchasers nearest to the purchaser. To me, this is definitely a violation of privacy to a complete stranger, not to mention identity theft, and/or racial discrimination. I am very uncomfortable giving out the personal information of individuals (without their approval) to perfect strangers I may contact on the Internet. I would certainly never give them mine! In conclusion, I firmly believe this rule will do nothing to stop scam artists! Scam artists hurt my business too! I am a good American citizen and I am only trying to make some additional income in an honest and ethical way. Don't penalize honest, hard working folks such as myself. Instead, why not go after the ones who are truly scamming people. Don't punish the individuals and companies who are ethical and above reproach, & lump them all into the same category. I for one, have been scammed before...& I have learned what to look for & what not to be involved with. Unforutunately, I learned the hard way, & I want others to be spared the same frustration that I experienced....but I know for sure that if you pass the proposed regulation that honest & ethical online businesses will suffer a great blow. Please don't act hastily & remember that as an American citizen, we have the right to have a free enterprise without interference from the government, as long as the business can show that they are honest, ethical & above reproach. Indeed, MonaVie is one such opportunity for the little guy, to find a way to have an income stream that is legitimate and highly beneficial in the marketplace. The product is one of high quality and beneficial to people's health. The company is of high integrity and morally of the highest standards. I am proud to be associated with MonaVie, & I want to be able to keep my business as a viable source of income. Thank you and please help me keep my business. Sincerely, Cheryl Baxter
