This rule would create a burden on small business owners. Many people who become distributors in direct marketing companies are merely supplementing their incomes and work the businesses around their full time jobs. Further requirements, such as these, would increase the time necessary on non-productive issues and squelch an interest in starting their own small business. Additionally, further regulations would increase the cost to tax payers due to the increase need for staffing to monitor new regulations. The entrepreneurial spirit flourishes in direct marketing companies, and additional regulations would interfere with the ability of individuals to effectively manage their time. Don't penalize many for the wrongdoings of a few.......go after those few with a vengeance! There are current laws and regulations that exist to deal with those who mistate facts for their own financial gain. Please take the appropriate actions against the wrongdoers, make the penalties as stiff as possible, broadcast the sentences that are given for such acts; please allow the honest business owners to continue functioning in the ethical manner that the majority do. Take action against those who violate the law and let the small business men and women continue to work on their own American Dream! Thank you, Connie Gray
