My name is Jan Kidwell and I am the proud owner of Daiseymae Enterprises. A company I just started the first of this year. I sell Home Decor and Gift Items. My company is small, I know, but I hope the future will bring greatness. I am writing because of the new rules you wish to enact. I guess my main question is, WHY? As a smal business owner, it is already a big enough struggle to follow all the City, County, State and Federal guide lines. And as any business owner will tell you, big or small, is isn't easy starting up a business. It really isn't any of my business to know how many business's like mine are in a 10 mile radius of me and it is no one's business who my associates are and vice versus.. My sales people are my sales people. As long as I pay my taxes and follow all the guidelines, I feel like the rest is my business and no one else's. And it certainly is no one else's business where I get my merchandise from. As I understand the Business Oppurnity Rule, it is to help you in your search for scam artists. While I applaud your efforts, I must ask, How many so called companies that are out to scam people are going to reply to any quiestinaires or forms you send them? And if they do, what makes you think that the information they provide will be honest? And if it isn't, how will you know? I am an honest and legitiment business person, just trying to make a living in a free country, But it seems to me that the more rules and regulations our goverment enacts, just hurts the honest business person, working hard to make a living. We lose more and more of our freedoms everyday. So I ask that you please vote down the Business Oppurtunity Rule, let those of us who are honest continue to run our companies and find another way to get rid of the scammers.
