Attention:Federal Trade Commission (FTC), please do not pass your new rule (Business Opportunity Rule, R511993). This law will negatively affect my direct market home business, requiring meto alter their sales methods and placing additional burdens on my family in order to comply with federal law. Under the new rule, several requirements will be initiated that will be oppressive and burdensome for my small home business. In fact, it will be easier to buy furniture, appliances, automobiles costing thousands of dollars?it will even be easier to buy a hand gun or assault rifle?than it will be to join a multilevel company like mine. I am asking for your help to stop this rule from being put into law. The consequences of the proposed requirements include unnecessary alarm about the legitimacy of my companies and their compensation plans, a gross violation of privacy of all distributors like me, a time-consuming sign-up and disclosure process that may lead to my enthusiastic prospects losing interest, and the increase of expenses for both my company and myself as a distributor, among several other adverse effects. Please do not limit my rights to conduct a legal business. I deeply love working from home and I really enjoy helping others such as myself build business and support our economy in as much as you will allow us. Thank you for your considerration of my plea. Sincerely, Katherine E. FisherÂ
