"Business Opportunity Rule, Matter No. R511993" Please don't enact these new guidelines for direct selling business opportunites. As a happy Pampered Chef consultant for 9 1/2 years I know that these rules will severely damage the credibility of our opportunity. A new Pampered Chef consultant looses nothing when they try our opportunity as the startup cost ($90) gives them $350 worth of legitimate products that are theirs to keep even if they do not choose to continue. Our organization is filled with consultants who try and move on without negative consequences or thousands like myself that support families and educate their children with the income. The flexibility of a direct selling home based business, has allowed me and the consultants I have brought into the business, to pay our Bills and supervise our children. Otherwise many children would wander the streets unsupervised because parents could not afford day care while they work. These proposed rules would stifle interest as they will scare away interested parties. You don't even have to wait 7 days to get married! Please don't penalize and ruin an honest earning opportunity for tens of thousands of people with legitimate companies such as The Pampered Chef. Thank you, Marian Warshauer
