June 9, 2006 Dear FTC: Re: Proposed Business Opportunity Rule I have read that the recently proposed rule which would generate extensive government intervention re entering into multilevel marketing and other busines opportunities -- and, by the way, I'm NOT involved in recruiting people for multilevel companies or other business opportunities -- would make it EASIER TO GET A HANDGUN than to initiate involvement in such opportlunities! This, it seems to me, is WAY too oppressive! Let the (less than $500) buyer beware! The Soviet Union collapsed for a number of reasons, one of which I bet was this kind of overly intrusive government. Keep America free. I think Jimmy Durante exaggerated when he (supposedly) said, many years ago, "Don't put no constrictions on da people!"; I'm all for reasonable government regulation; but, this proposal seems to go too far. Sincerely, David Bergman
