Regarding Business Opportnity Rule, Matter # R511993 Hello, I am writing in regards to the Business Opportunity Rule, Matter # R511993. In its present form it could mean the end for many of us as distributors. I know the FTC's responsibilities are to protect the public from unfair, deceptive practices, yet I see this as making it nearly impossible to conduct my business, and I am honest in all my dealings with my fellowmen. I've been with Young Living Essential Oils for 14 years because I love their exceptional products and wanted to earn some income as well. I have never, ever been taken advantage of by anyone in Young Living. They are a joy to work with and are ethical in every way, bending over backward to comply with the law. The 7-day waiting period seems very cumbersome and discouraging. What would happen to industry if everyone had to abide by such a rule? Including dentists, auto sales, etc. I don't see there are any differences here. Young Living already has a 90% buyback policy for for all their products purchased in the full previous year. No one has time or space to keep the kind of records it would take in order to comply with these requirements. And then, the lawsuits....even if the company was found innocent! People are suing for just about anything they can think of these days. And another big issue of concern is privacy and identity theft. People are reluctant to share their information because of that. It will drive many potential partners away just to think of it. These kinds of rulings will keep many people from having a productive lifestyle and keep money OUT of circulation. Most people are honest and have integrity. A few who are not make like difficult for the majority. The whole world suffers in the process. Thank you for your work in trying to protect cconsumers. I appreciate your efforts, yet I see many unintended consequences and there are much less burdomsom alternatives. I do hope you will see our side of this dilemma and consider other ways. Being on the other side of the fence brings up a lot of new issues. Thank you for your time spent in considering my comments. Respectfully, A NWM Distributor, Carolyn Clark
