I am writing because I am concerned about proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. If it is adopted in its present form, it will negatively influence my business. More government regulation surely hinders the free enterprise system. The value of wanting to earn a better living in life is put in jeopardy because you don't have the paperwork filled out. The FTC has been trying to over regulate the network marketing industry for decades. I think there are good programs, values & ethics in established companies. I wish all industries had the caring & sharing values that network marketing has. Instead of destroying all the good apples in the barrel, why not go after the bad ones? The proposed regulations would put undue requirements on my business. Anyone who just wants to get good products wholesale, would have to be given all this information because they are becoming a distributor. 80% of the distributors I know only want to get the products wholesale. They do not want to make a living at it. When I have spent more money in the past for a house or car, I have never been given such information. Most businesses won't even give you "satisfiied" cusotmers because of confidnentiality rules. I appreciate the good intentions in protecting consumers. I believe this proposed new rule will cause more harm than good. Thank you for considering my viewpoint
