Dear Sir or Madam: Please carefully consider the detailed comments in the attached letter. There are thousands of single parents, retired persons, and others who are using their Shaklee or other Direct Selling businesses for their sole means of support. For the most part, they are honest in their approach to recruitment into these businesses, because the dishonest are just not successful. The economic impact of this rule would be devastating to these honest business people. The FTC should not be in the business of protecting a few whining crybabies who got hurt by dishonest businesses when they could have avoided it by being responsible enough to perform their own due diligence. If you try to be "Big Brother" and eliminate all of the risk in business, you undermine the very foundation of our freedoms in this country.
