which may not yet have e xperienced litigation but which are far more likely to have legal issues surrounding their opportunities. I have been a Shaklee Distributor for 35 years. Origionally I became a Shaklee Distributor to be able to purchase their nutritional products at a discounted price. Both my husband and I werer employed, however we needed extra income in order to be able to use these products. We found by simply sharing the Shaklee Products that we had come to love with our friends and family, we could earn extra income. They had the same opportunity as we had, so they sponsored their friends and family. Today, we are in our late 70's and we depend on the income from our Shaklee business . Please protect our interest in this matter. While I appreciate the work of the FTC to protect consumers, I believe this proposed new rule hs many uninteneded consequences for direct sellers and that there are less burdensome alternatives available to the agency to achieve its goals.
