As a former distributor for Equinox International, I understand the perceived need for rulemaking like the ones currently being proposed. That company was highly unethical and I was manipulated and pressured into doing things that seriously damaged my credit and eventually led to bankruptcy. Unfortunately what you are proposing will hurt thousands of very ethical, honest, and hardworking people who are trying to pursue the American dream. I am now and Educational Consultant with Usborne Books at home. I work hard as a single homeschooling parent to support my family with my income from selling Usborne books. I, and everyone I have ever met with the company, conduct our businesses in a very ethical way and do not deserve to be penalized for the behavior of a small fraction of the Direct Selling industry. Please do not adopt the rules you are considering. Many hard working families may lose their ability to support themselves if you do. Thank you for your time and consideration.
