Comments:The building industry needs standards that are consistent in all states about how each product is green: the amount of energy or water it will save; how much a particular method or process will save energy or water; and how much (more or less) that product will cost a home buyer; when the buyer will see the cost savings in comparison to existing materials; how much energy or water will be saved if the product is purchased. The consumer will need standardized information about household cleaning products also, to reduce harmful chemicals in the home. The standards for what is considered green must be provable scientifically - No green washing!
