Submission Text
I agree with the allegations of the FTC that the claims made by Brain-Pad are both mis-leading and deceptive. It would be wonderful if these claims were valid, but there is NO un-biased, scientific evidence to support these claims. Some studies have been done, but they are biased and anecdotal in nature. As a sports-team dentist for over 30 years, I would love to offer a sports mouthguard that reduces the incidence of concussion to the athletes I care for, but the scientific evidence is absent.
Additionally, these deceptive claims that are being made damage the integrity of the field of Sports Dentistry in the eyes of the public, our professional colleagues and the field of sports in general, all in the name of comercial profit.
Please insist that these claims cease until sound, scientific evidence is available.
