Alcohol is the third leading cause of death in this country (after Diet/Sedentary lifestyle and Tobacco). Advertising is used because it works. It's aimed at children, teens and young adults. Young children are bombarded by alcohol advertising before they can recognize what is dangerous or not. Teens and young adults drink the most and die from alcohol related causes the most frequently, mostly from accidents and from violence aggravated by alcohol. Innocent bystanders/family members are also victims. Please limit alcohol advertising on TV and other places accessible to teens, and require large warning signs: ALCOHOL KILLS, whenever it is allowed.
