The FTC is aware of the failure of beverage alcohol manufacturers to self-regulate alcohol advertising. They seem impervious to the damage this industry had done to the youth of America, instead considering it an extraordinary advertising strategy. Much of what I do relates to this sad state of American capitalism. Indoctrinating children and youth to alcohol to create lifetime drinkers is tantamount to murder. We work to increase media literacy among youth and empower them to develop strategies to prevent underage drinking and alcohol abuse in their families and our community.On Sunday our student leaders will do a media literacy teach-in for 8th graders in our community. FTC: what will you do?
