I am writing because I am concerned about the alcohol's LACK OF compliance with voluntary advertising placement provisions, sales and marketing expenditures, the status of third-party review of complaints regarding compliance with voluntary advertising codes and alcohol industry data collection practices. The process in place in not working and it is time to move to a compliance format. By this I do not suggest slapping the hand of the alcohol industry, but to protect the public, in particular our youth, and hold the alcohol industy to standards held by other industries. The alcohol industry is taking advantage of our goverment officials as well as the public.
