I am a resident of a college town. The sheer volume of liquor advertisements is a concern for both underage and excessive drinking. Beer advertisers in particular are very aggressive with signs and banners, such as "Welcome Back Students" banners found outside or in the windows of almost every bar. Beer companies pay students to hang banners on their rented houses. Beer advertisements during football season show college-age men enjoying goofy, fun behavior while drinking large amounts of beer. If there is a code at all, there should be some compliance.
