The Postal Service was formed so that all citizens could receive mail. Fedex and UPS send any of their parcels through us, because they cannot be bothered with delivery to rural customers. The money is in delivery to city routes and with correspondence from public service companies, credit card companies, etc. Fedex and UPS also are allowed to own their own planes. We are not on an even playing field with them and their allowances either.
