Legislation should be passed that denies original creditors [such as Household Bank, Chase etc.] and their subsidiary collection agencies, [such as Nationwide Credit,Inc] and collection forums [such as the Arbitration forum] to harass victims of Identity theft when the proper credentials have been submitted and the Original Creditors have released the victims.....they should also be requried to inform all 3 credit reporting agencies to remove all derogatory remarks about the victim from their records when .....and if they do not the victims should be allowed to have their records cleared upon their presentation of a copy of the police report showing their innocence. Fines should be increased to a minium of $5,000 for each infraction of the law of all collection agencies so that they will think twice prior to harassing victims of Identity Theft and the courts should be required to enforce those penalties.
