FTC: Made In The USA Comments Concerning Sharon Arakawa--P894219 8/10/97 Made in the US Policy Comment Dear Sirs: Please keep the "Made in the U. S. A" label true to its' original intent and meaning. As a consumer of products and goods, many times it is important to me that I buy products made in the U.S.A. The proposed change is actually deceptive representation to consumers. I for the most part steer away from products made in foreign countries that exploit their labor forces. It is my opinion as a citizen, that these proposed standards serve no useful purpose. In fact, if implemented, these standards could seriously impact American made products and in turn impact our economy and labor structures.
