Subject: Product Labeling

Gentlemen:

We are strongly opposed to any changes in the product labeling requirements that reflect country of origin.

On one hand, the Government promotes ideas and policies to educate the consumer, and on the other policies that will keep him in the dark about the origin and quality of a product.. The proposed labeling change reflects the hyprocrisy that is so representative of this administration.

This proposal constitues a "watering down of standards." and must not be implemented.

If you look history at the number of custom violations regarding products being brought in to this country illegally or through misrepresentation , you will readily understand that the proposed changes can only make this problem worse.

Sincerely,

Mr & Mrs J. Llewellyn
