Subject: Made in the USA issue

I am opposed to any changes to the "Made in USA" labeling because:

1. Made in the USA should mean made in the USA

2. Allowing percentages will create all sorts of statistical manipulating. Who will verify the accuracy of the percentage claims? It would take an army of government auditors at least the size of the IRS to verify and approve any percentage allowances. How else can one rely on statistical claims if there is no one there to independently verify the claims? The cost of such an army of auditors is an unacceptable expense for U S taxpayers.

3. Personally, I make it a priority to purchase MADE IN THE USA products when I am shopping. Any change will confuse me. I will no longer have any assurances in what I am buying and no confidence in the proposed percentages of U.S. content versus import content.

4. The TRUTH is simple. Please keep it that way.

Sincerely,
Dick Ambrose
