Subject:"Made In USA" Policy Comments

Dear Secretary:

Industrial cutting tool products are simple looking tools to the untrained eye but without knowledge of the steel content, metallurgical processes and tolerance specifications, a buyer could easily be fooled regarding the quality of the tool. Some countries have sophisticated processes and quality control systems while others ship clearly inferior products which would deceive the recipient as to the value of the tool.

For this reason, I believe that at least the current marking requirements should be maintained if not revised to be more rather than less defined.

Sincerely,

Barney Conway
