RE:"MADE IN U.S.A."
Policy Comment
FTC File - P894219

It is very disturbing to me that our legislators are constantly compromising. Nothing is sacred any more and it is demeaning to our country.

Why would the FTC even consider a proposal to allow any product whose total manufacturing cost is 75 percent domestic to qualify for the "MADE IN THE U.S.A." label.

The label "MADE IN THE U.S.A." is recognized worldwide as a hallmark of quality. It is a deciding factor for me and my family when we shop. The proposal to allow goods whose cost content is as high as 25 percent IMPORTED to carry the "MADE IN THE U.S.A." label is deceptive advertising. The proposed changes will create a vast labyrinth of unenforceable loopholes that will drive more manufacturing overseas.

There is so much deception from all areas of our government and as a senior citizen I feel we are rapidly deteriorating with the help of the White House and its many weak contributors and law makers.

PLEASE KEEP THE "MADE IN THE U.S.A." LABEL MEANINGFUL.
