This should not be changed because weakening the requirements for using this lable takes away one very important tool of the American consumer; that is the ability to influence our capitolistic market by purchasing AMERICAN MADE products if they so choose. By changing the requirements, you are diluting the purchasing power or influence of the American shopper who wants to support the American Manufacturers. By allowing foreign manufacturers to mislead the American public you are stealing their ability to influence the market. I am one who buys American whenever possible and take the place of manufacture as an important factor in every large purchase that I make. By allowing this rule to change, you are seriously weakening my ability to make an imformed decision. I am strongly against allowing such a rule change and would not accept anything else than 100% as a standard for using the "M |
