<DHWILLIAMS43@prodigy.net> To: HQ.HQ04(consumerline) Date: 7/29/97 12:27pm Subject: "made in usa" the federal trade commission as i understand its purpose, is to protect the american consumer and protect american industry. i can not believe in the USA today that i and my wife would even have to be addressing such an issue. we do not want the labeling requirements to be changed in any way whatsoever. we want to know made in the USA means exactly that. it is hard enough to find the label as is, allowing all concerned consumers to know just how little we still manufacture here. i believe all americans should be allowed to know what there government is doing to protect their economy, jobs, and industry.
