Dear Mr. Clark;

I am very concerned about the FTC proposal to allow products "substantially" made in the USA to carry the "Made in the USA" label.

This would undermine the whole concept of the label. It is important for people to know clearly that products are actually made in this country, or they are not.

As the agency designated to regulate such matters, it is your responsibility to do the right thing-not yield to pressures to stretch meanings of labels so that they are meaningless.

Please do not allow this mistake to happen. The people of this country need to know that "Made is the USA" really means just that.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Vince Del Vacchio
