FTC: Made In The USA Comments Concerning Debbie Thompson--P894219 Debbie Thompson July 15,1997 Dear FTC, Do Not relax the 50 year old rule that all or virtually all of a product be bade domestically before it can be Tabled "MADE IN THE USA". If you did that, it would be fraud on the American public! That would result in even more American jobs lost to foreign countries! Why not simply state the truth, if the product is 75% of the cost is domestic, then lable the product 75% made in the USA– or 60% or whatever. I would like to continue to know that when I buy something, Iam buying things made by our own good hard working Americans Please don't relax the rule!!! I buy American!
