FTC: Made In The USA Comments Concerning Charlotte Young--P894219 Charlotte Young FTC July 15, 1997 To Whom It May Concern: I have just learned that the federal government wants to relax the 50 year old rule that all or virtually all of a product be made domestically before it can be labeled "Made in the USA". I strongly protest the change in this rule. I and my family support the American worker and buy only products we know to be made in our country. When is the government going to stop taking jobs from the American worker and putting families out on the street because all their jobs are going out of the United States. It's quite apparent the purpose of government is to represent foreign interests and not those of our own people. Congratulations! The FTC's efforts to give the whole world American standards is succeeding. As our country is pulled down to their level, soon we too will have third world status. Sincerely, Charlotte YoungCharlotte Young |
