FTC: Made In The USA Comments Concerning Mr. Kenneth Fletcher--P894219 Mr. Kenneth Fletcher Made in the U.S.A. Comments Dear Secretary: The concept of Made in the USA has been specific and definite for the last 50 years. Please leave it as it is. If manufacturers want to say that an item is Made in the USA; then, make sure it is exactly that. Made in the USA should mean that an item is 100% manufactured in the United States of America and not in another country. If it is manufactured here and assembled somewhere else; it should indicate such clearly. If it is manufactured somewhere else and assembled in the USA, then the label should specifically and clearly indicate such. Do not change the meaning of words to satisfy the manufacturers. Consumers want to know the truth. The FTC should keep it all straight. Sincerely, Kenneth FletcherKenneth Fletcher |
