Secretary:

Do not change the ground rules for application of the "Made In The U.S.A." label. There are a lot of American Patriots that want to continue to "Buy American" and distorting the meaning of such a label would make it more difficult for Americans to differentiate. That is obviously the underlying reason for such an undertaking and my wife and I resent it.

Why are you people in Washington making such an un-American onslaught on the American Dream? Is not this land of opportunity the very land which gave you the wherewithall to become so successful in your lives? Why do you now put this aside in the name of globalization? We are for free trade. We are, however, against unfair trade practices. Please see that labels are not allowed to be compromised so that we will not be able to tell where products are made. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Thomas G. Shverha
