Made in the USA Policy Comment
Office of the Secretary
Federal Trade Commission
Room 159 Sixth and Pennsylvania Aves., NW
Washington, DC 20580

Dear Mr. Secretary:

I urge you to withdraw the proposed FTC guideline that would permit up to 25% of undisclosed foreign content in products labeled "Made in the USA". The "Made in the USA" label implies 100% made in the U.S. by U.S. workers without adulteration by any foreign content whatsoever.

It is the job of the FTC to monitor the marketplace to root out and ban any and all misrepresentation. Thus, it would be unconscionable for the FTC to actively foster misrepresentation pursuant to the proposed guideline.

I urge you to uphold the FTC's integrity by withdrawing the proposed guideline without delay.

Very truly yours,

Richard I. Bonsal
