Federal Trade Commission Received Documents Jan 2 1996 B18354900018 Secretary HELBROS INTERNATIONAL JULES JURGENSEN Chronometer and Watchmaker ESTABLISHED AT COPENHAGEN 1740 ROYAL ORDER OF DANEBORG AT THE "ROYAL LEGION D'HONNEUR" December 26, 1995 Office of the Secretary Federal Trade Commission Room 159, 6th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. Washington, D.C. 20580 Re: Made in USA Workshop - Request to Participate FTC File #P894219 To Whom It May Concern: We have received the bulletin captioned above pertaining to the FTC Workshop on "Made in USA" claims to be held at your offices on March 26th and 27th 1996. Let this letter serve as notice that we would be very much interested to attend and participate in this workshop. We have particular interest in the clarification of the Made in USA markings regarding our product manufactured in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The lack of consistency on these markings by FTC and Customs, the two regulatory bodies that we have to be concerned with, causes us great frustration for knowing which direction to take with regard to the markings and importation of our product. It would certainly be in our best interest, and the best interest of the industry to come up with one understanding and one set of rules regarding the importation of watches. I may be reached at the phone numbers and fax number listed below and do look forward to receiving any further information regarding the upcoming workshop. Sincerely, Morton Clayman, President Jules Jurgensen/Helbros President Tropex Watch Co.
