(Thursday) From: <Jgbrooksjr@[redacted]> To: FTC.SERIUS("ecompetition@ftc.gov") Subject: Wine shipments and limited wine quantities allowed to be shipped to most states. I strongly support litigation for free trade of wines, both on the internet and in shipping these wines ANYWHERE. Regardles of taxing , my state , Connecticut, and almost all others, have severe 'Colonial style' restrictions on both inTERstate commerce of wine and also , QUANTITIES of wine to be brought to my home for consumption and collecting. I consider many rare and hard to find wines as INVESTMENTS. I am a wine collector, and must store wines I purchase in New York City in warehouses because I can bring in only '5 gallons ' ( are we talking about water here ?) every two months. Okay, that's better than most states, but it restricts free trade, a constitutional right, no ? Sincerely, Jim Brooks |
