Protecting America's ConsumersThe Federal Trade Commission, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and the Manhattan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will hold a press conference on Wednesday, September 27 to announce recent efforts to combat fraud targeting Hispanics. The FTC will announce new cases at the event and the results of a multi-media, Spanish-language advertising review conducted with U.S. and international partners. The announcements will take place at a one-day forum for law enforcement, government, and community groups, to discuss consumer fraud aimed at Spanish-speaking consumers and to consider law enforcement and consumer education responses.
