Effective Date of Hart-Scott-Rodino Rules about Limited Liability Companies Postponed

 

The Commission has postponed the effective date of the Formal Interpretation under the Hart- Scott-Rodino (HSR) rules setting forth the conditions under which the creation, or acquisition of an interest in, a Limited Liability Company will be reportable under the HSR Act. This Formal Interpretation, previously scheduled to become effective on February 1, 1999 is likely to be effective March 1, 1999. (See news release dated December 2, 1998; Staff contact: Thomas F.
