"Home Improvement: Tools You Can Use"

Federal, Industry and Consumer Groups to Announce Joint Consumer Education Effort

What: Consumers annually spend over $120 billion on home improvement projects, but are often victimized by unscrupulous or incompetent contractors. Because home improvement fraud consistently ranks as one of the top three complaints from consumers, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelors™ Council and National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators (NACAA) have joined together to launch a consumer education campaign -- "Home Improvement: Tools You Can Use."
